How to use Hifzuna
Memorizing sticks when it is regular, in small pieces, and checked against the text. This is the whole routine in order.
1. Choose what to memorize
On the home page, browse by juz or search all 114 surahs. Juz 30 holds the shortest surahs, a common place to start. The Search page jumps straight to an ayah (2:255), a surah (rahman) or a juz (juz 30), or finds ayat by words in Arabic, the translation or the transliteration.
Open search2. Listen and read
Open a surah to read it. Tap an ayah to play it. Pick a reciter, a speed, and how many times each ayah repeats (up to 20). Loop a range of ayat to drill a passage until it flows. Turn on the translation, the transliteration or the tajwid colors when you need them.
3. Memorize step by step
“Start guided memorization” cuts the surah into small chunks (1 to 5 ayat). Each chunk goes through five steps: listen and read, repeat with the text, half the words hidden, most hidden, and finally everything hidden so you recite from memory. Tap a blank to reveal a word. At the end, rate yourself honestly: “Got it” or “Still hard”.
4. Test yourself
The Quiz asks you to fill in missing words, pick the next ayah, complete an ayah, name the surah, or spot the difference between ayat that look alike. Wrong answers are marked for more practice.
Take a quiz5. Review every day (Murajaah)
Every ayah you practice comes back at growing intervals, just before you would forget it. Recite the ayah out loud first, then show the answer and grade yourself: Again (forgot), Hard, Good or Easy. Be truthful: pressing Good when you were unsure only postpones the forgetting.
Go to review6. Stay consistent
Set a daily goal and a reminder time. A reminder in your calendar works even when the app is closed. Your day streak counts every day you practice.
Goal and reminders7. Watch out for similar ayat
Some ayat share wording with others and are easy to mix up. A yellow “similar ayat” box shows where they differ. The quiz “spot the difference” drills exactly those words. These matches are found automatically, not from a scholarly list.
8. Your account
Create an account (optional) to keep your progress in the cloud and use it on every device. Without an account everything stays on this device; you can also export a backup from the Progress page.
